Los Angeles Southwest College
Since its founding in 1967 in the aftermath of the Watts Rebellion, Los Angeles Southwest College has been dedicated to social justice, community activism, and ensuring that all students receive a truly transformational college experience that empowers them for success in our local community and beyond. The recent influx of support for campus infrastructure and progressive programs combined with high-quality instruction and dedicated classified professionals provide LASC students with a learning environment that helps focus their lives and advocates for them to give back to their communities. The lone college in South Los Angeles, LASC looks to be a true community partner by helping address local issues of concern such as homelessness, food scarcity, access to employment opportunities that pay livable wages, rights of our undocumented students, and supporting incarcerated individuals as they reenter society. All students are welcome at Los Angeles Southwest College.
