Sherry Davis Johnson, Certified Insurance Agent for Covered California
Sherry Davis Johnson has diverse experience in the insurance industry. Her career began as a nurse in 1983. She worked in hospitals, clinics, doctors’ offices and as a travel nurse until she found her niche at a Modern Home Health, a home IV infusion company. Sherry held nearly every clinical position for the company that innovated standards of infusion care. From visit nurse, intake and staffing coordinator, insurance case manager and assistant director of nurses. It was insurance case management that exposed Sherry to the world of insurance. It was her responsibility to assure that her company was paid for the nurse and therapist visits. In 2003, Sherry began her career as an insurance broker providing exceptionally orchestrated benefits for employees. The companies she represents range in size from 2 to 1,700 employees. The vast number of people that were turned away from the individual market because of pre-existing conditions and prohibitive pricing left her undaunted. Sherry referred from a list of caring providers that she had collected over the years who would see anyone with or without insurance. Sherry’s employer benefit business is growing by leaps and bounds but her personal mission since 2013 is individual enrollment and insurance education. These experiences on her journey have culminated in her ability to give expert advice from the provider, patient and insurance broker’s perspectives to anyone in need and for absolutely free.
