Ye releases ‘GEMINI SEASON’

Ye releases ‘GEMINI SEASON’

Ye has released a new song titled “GEMINI SEASON” along with an accompanying music video.

The clip, which marks another directorial project for Bianci Censori, features her dressed in all white while seated on a bar stool against an artificial background of mountains and moving clouds. In the video, she milks a cow into a glass jar before Ye, also dressed in white, pours the milk into her mouth, with some spilling down her chest.

“I wanna get kinky/ I think she’ll let me/ I think she’s pretty/ I think she’s ready,” he half-sings.

“GEMINI SEASON” arrived amid Gemini season and on Ye’s birthday Monday. To celebrate the occasion, Bianca — who previously directed Bully cut “Father” featuring Travis Scott — posted a message on her Instagram Story that read, “Happy birthday @ye I love you more than life.”

While “GEMINI SEASON” was not included on the track list for Bully, it is likely to appear on the album’s deluxe, which is scheduled to release on June 19.

Ye also has a lot of shows coming up. His next performance is in Tbilisi, Georgia, on Friday.

Teyana Taylor to receive Icon Award at BET Awards 2026

With the BET Awards just weeks away, the network has announced Teyana Taylor as its 2026 Icon of the Year. According to a press release, the award recognizes an artist “whose work, presence, and vision are setting the tone right now – someone whose impact isn’t measured in years but in the undeniable weight they carry in every room, every conversation, and every corner of the culture they touch.”

The press release highlights Teyana’s evolution from singer-songwriter to an award-winning actress, director, producer, choreographer and fashion icon, with accomplishments including Platinum singles, a Critics’ Choice Award, and awards nominations for both music and film.

Cardi B performs for Knicks’ NBA Finals Game 3 halftime show

Cardi B attended the New York Knicks game Monday night not only as a spectator but also as a performer.

She took to the court at Madison Square Garden during halftime, performing “Bodega Baddie” from Am I the Drama? and her breakout hit “Bodak Yellow” from her debut album, Invasion of Privacy. She was joined by dancers dressed in Knicks jersey dresses.

Following her performance, Cardi sat courtside with 4-year-old son Wave, though she was not impressed with her seats.

“They got me right next to the opps! But I’mma be nice, ’cause I know this is a lot for them,” she joked on her Instagram Story.

While Cardi’s performance didn’t air during the game’s TV broadcast, it was available via the premium NBA League Pass broadcast.

Avery Wilson, who has been performing “The Star-Spangled Banner” during most of Knicks’ 2026 postseason, once again sang the national anthem.

The night ended with the Knicks losing to the San Antonio Spurs, 111-115.

The Reasonable Doubt 30th anniversary celebration continues with the announcement of stadium shows in Paris and Los Angeles.

Jay-Z is set to perform at the Stade de France on Sept. 10, followed by an LA date at SoFi Stadium on Oct. 23. The newly announced concerts follow his previously revealed three-night run at Yankee Stadium in New York. He’ll celebrate Reasonable Doubt on July 10; return on July 11 for a special show marking 25 years of The Blueprint; and close out the weekend on July 12 with a non-themed performance dubbed Extra Innings.

The announcement comes shortly after Hov’s first headlining set, and festival appearance, in more than five years at The Roots Picnic in Philadelphia. During the set, he debuted a new hairdo, performed hits from his discography, reunited with members of Roc A Fella and State Property, and delivered freestyles that seemingly addressed internet chatter and targeted Ye, Nicki Minaj and Dame Dash, among others.

Released on June 25, 1996, Reasonable Doubt was Jay-Z’s debut studio album. It features singles such as “Ain’t No N****” and “Can’t Knock the Hustle,” along with guest appearances from Memphis Bleek, Mary J. Blige, Jaz-O and the Notorious B.I.G. The album has been certified Platinum by the RIAA.

Music Notes: Kodak Black, Rihanna and more

Music Notes: Kodak Black, Rihanna and more

It seems a new Kodak Black album is on the way. He shared a photo of the album artwork on Instagram. The cover features him sitting on a tree branch with eyes resembling those of a vampire or demon while holding a bitten apple. “IM FINNA TEAR THIS S*** UP RIGHT KWIK JUST FWM,” he captioned it. He later followed up with a behind-the-scenes video from the photoshoot. The album is called Kodak the Blessing.

Rihanna graces the cover of EE72 magazine’s summer 2026 issue. She shared some of her looks on Instagram — visions that came to life thanks to the magazine’s editor Edward Enninful. “Rihanna and I share a deep, instinctive creative shorthand, honed for over fifteen years. Every single time we collaborate, it is about challenging what a ‘fashion editorial’ can and should actually achieve, and meeting creativity where it is today,” Ed said in a statement. “Rihanna doesn’t follow trends; she defines the culture we live in.”

Tamar Braxton and Dallas Austin — who produced songs including TLC’s “Creep” and “Unpretty,” and Brandy & Monica’s “The Boy Is Mine” — will be among the performers/presenters at the 2026 Songwriters Hall of Fame event. It takes place Thursday in New York City.
